Title: The end
The Newcastle skyline follows showing Newcastle Keep and the tower of The Cathedral Church of St Nicholas in the middle distance.
From an elevated position looking down the Swing Bridge on the River Tyne begins to open followed by a ship passing under the Tyne bridge making its way upstream.
An information sign for ‘The Keep’ is followed by views of said building as well as The Black Gate from a number of positions.
A small child runs along a terraced street and is picked up by her mother who stands in front of the open doorway. The woman and child play together in the deserted street. A dog appears and the child and woman pet it in the doorway.
The film changes to briefly show a man prepare to make a golf swing followed by the child seen previously sitting on a bench. A view of a fourteen arch viaduct across a river or waterway changes to a man sitting on the sand beside a dune.
A bus crosses the partially flooded causeway between Holy Island and the mainland. The film ends with various landscape views of the island as well as the village.
