Views from the crowds of decorative floats passing by as well as a group riding a number of historic bicycles. Credit: Pathfinder Films Title: Sporting Tulips Two boys lay on the grass as people walk past flower beds of colourful tulips. Along a road, two children in colour waistcoats and straw hats walk past pushing a pram with a large umbrella opened over it. A man wearing the same outfit walks behind, they are all in blackface. A large crowd stands on both sides of the road watch on, a vendor sells balloons. Two policemen on horseback ride slowly past both in dress uniforms. A military marching band comes next followed by a series of decorative floats many with people sitting on them waving at the crowds, one is sponsored by the Midland Bank. A Scout Association marching band passes next, a Cub Scout at the rear pulling a trolley. More decorative floats, many sponsored by banks, and marching bands march along the road followed by cyclists riding historic bicycles including a number of penny-farthings. One float is in the design of a formula one racing car, another a series of racing horses. The crowd wave Union Jack flags and applaud, some children wave back to those on the floats. Two boys take photographs of the procession as it passes. One of the final entries in the procession is a parade of uniformed women spinning flags in unison. End title: See you again next year!
