Title: Holy Ground
Along a rocky shoreline, a group of tourists disembark from a small motor boat and walk along a jetty to stand in the shade. They go through a set of gates into a historical Roman site where they are given a guided tour. They pass a domed building surrounded by ornate gardens, one of the group takes a photograph. They arrive at what appears to be a Christian church where some of the group go inside to explore.
The film cuts to a scene with cars, buses, and pedestrians along a busy street. A shopkeeper sets up his wares outside his store. A number of tourists look through sacks of various pulses, one pays for a small loaf of bread. The group walks through a busy market.
A boy sits on a donkey outside the wall of the Old City of Jerusalem. Inside Jewish men pray beside the Western or Wailing Wall. Ornate stonework decorates a gateway through which come a tour group. The group walks along arched streets as local people go about their business. Writing on a wall reads ‘Chapel. Jesus is condemned and scourged'. The group passes through a courtyard and through an arched roadway.
Through a grated window, there is a view of the Dome on the Rock followed by tourists climbing steps to the shrine on Temple Mount. Shoes are left outside the shrine, Arabic writing adorns the exterior as groups of people walk past.
Views follow of ornate Roman columns and the skyline of Jerusalem's Old Town, olive trees laden with olives can be seen. A detailed mosaic adorns the wall above the entrance to the Church of All Nations. Tourists and locals walk the busy processional route along Via Dolorosa street. Crowds walk under a stone archway and pass a number of buildings on the way to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. An orthodox priest walks past, inside the church light comes through narrow windows and the film ends on an exterior view of the Church.
