An amateur travelogue produced by James Madden of a touring holiday to the Ararat Province of Armenia around Mount Ararat which is believed to be the final resting place of Noah's Ark. The film begins with views of the mountain from the semi-ruin of Ishak Pasha Palace in Turkey. Traveling on into Armenia views follow around the capital city of Yerevan before the group moves on to Lake Sevan and finally a meal in the grounds of Sevan Monastery.
A thistle type plant grows in the wall of a ruined building, part of Ishak Pasha Palace, in the distance the snowy peak of Mount Ararat. Various views show the ruined palace with its ornate stone carvings, below along a track a tractor and trailer drive while nearby shepherds herd their sheep.
A phantom bus rides changes to a small purple flower growing beside a stream, through clouds the peak of the still distant Mount Ararat. Two people lead a pair of donkeys along a track, nearby three men work together to load cut grass onto the back of a wagon.
In the city of Yerevan, a coach is parked outside a hotel. A horse-drawn wagon rides along a road, above on the hill Erebuni Fortress. In the street, two men tend to the repairs of a horse-drawn carriage. A vehicle and horse-drawn wagon pass through a busy intersection. Pedestrians walk past as two boys shovel coal into a wheelbarrow.
Children play as two women chat beside a wall. Below, the Hrazdan River flows through the city. A woman and child stand in the doorway of a house as children play on rocks nearby or in the street. A view of an ancient tower follows.
Another phantom coach ride passes by stone houses and through the dusty countryside. A donkey foal takes milk from its mother, nearby a man uses a pickaxe to cultivate the ground around a bush. The tour group takes shelter from the sun, gathering around covered outdoor tables. Tea is served before the group walk up a set of steps through a stone gateway leading to the ruin of a fort or castle overlooking Lake Sevan.
A tour guide speaks to the group as they cross Lake Sevan by boat. The view changes to show Sevan Monastery below in the distance. Slices of watermelon and a buffet meal are laid on for the tour group in the grounds of the monastery. A woman writes a postcard.
Stone carvings adorn the exterior of Sevan Monastery, nearby local boys dive and swim in the lake. Many pose for the camera. The film ends with the group leaving by coach and the boys waving.
