Inside the chapel, a congregation of mainly women sings.
A woman sits at a desk typing, she answers the telephone making notes onto a pad.
In a bookshop, a woman in a red cardigan walks over to a shelf, takes a book, and begins reading. Another woman appears and they begin to chat.
In a kitchen, a woman pipes cream onto a number of large pies on the counter in front of her. She scoops more cream into the pipe from a large vat beside her and continues applying the cream to the pies.
In a dining, hall diners stand as others come into the room and find their tables. A prayer is said before everyone sits and food is served. Outside people chat over cups of tea and coffee.
More views of the chapel include flower beds in front, which changes to a group of young people preparing to head off on a hike. The group walks around Malham Cove, through the village, and along a footpath through the snow. They stop to eat lunch on a stone wall before continuing on.
Inside the chapel, two guitarists are accompanied by three singers. A fourth man nearby appears to accompany them thrusting his arm into the air on occasion.
A montage of trees and fields changes to show a crowd in a long room folk dancing watched by other adults and children seated on chairs or on the floor in front of them. They stop and applaud.
Views of Scargill House at dusk changes to a classroom where a group of children is singing a song or nursery rhyme that includes hand gestures. Two women sit nearby, one playing a guitar the other teaching the children the correct hand movements. The children stand for a new song, a third woman holding a toddler stands behind them as they jump around and move their hands along to the song.
A group of people comes up a set of stairs into the chapel, standing behind pews they all sing a hymn. A young man in vestments breaks bread over the altar as part of communion. Parishioners pray before coming forward to take sacrament. The priest comes forward and speaks to the congregation.
