The second of three short films produced by James Madden showing activities taking place at the Christian Christian Scargill Movement based near Kettlewell in North Yorkshire. In this educational film young people take part in a classroom discussion, help out in the kitchen, enjoy a meal, and finally read books in a library. In a classroom a boy discusses with a teacher a series of collages set up around a room, other students sit nearby listen intently. Two female students come up to discuss the work. Placed on a table are a number of feathers, a painting on the wall shows a Native American with the caption above it reading ‘Apache Reservation’. In the kitchen, two girls prepare bacon rashers and chicken legs for cooking while in a dining hall a meal of bangers and mash with gravy is served to a number if young people. A dessert is served of meringue pie with apricots the consumption of which is thoroughly enjoyed. A table laid out with colourful costumes changes to two young people in a library. They each take a book, sit down at a table and begin to read. The film ends showing a number of other young people sitting nearby and reading.
