The third and final short films produced by James Madden of a group of young boys walking the Pennine Way during October 1973 shows the group leaving Hawes and hiking through the countryside to the village of Askrigg where the boys purchase a crate from the local public house. Their walk ending they let off steam in a field where the film ends.
A number of boys stand outside a shop in Hawes, the group then hike through the countryside and across s stone bridge. They walk through a number of fields towards Askrigg. Some of the group wait outside The Kings Arms Hotel on Main Street, the livery under the pub name reading ‘Ye Olde Coaching Hostelry’. Three boys come out of the pub, one boy carrying a box, and they head off towards St Oswald's Church.
In a field nearby, the group play fight in the grass and wave at the camera. The film ends on copies of ‘The Dalesman’ laid out on a table.
