A home movie produced by John Ferry featuring his wife Mary and children John, Michael, Mary and twins James and Elizabeth on the beach at Redcar. The final part of the film features a wedding taking place in Northern Ireland. A woman and two small children stand near the surf on Redcar beach, nearby are three older children. They all watch as two speedboats pulling water-skiers speed past. Four of the children begin to paddle in the surf, the youngest rushing back to his mother. The two older boys hold the hand of the younger boy walking through the surf, their sister follows beside them. On their own the two older boys continue to paddle in the sea, their sister also paddles in the water but closer to the shore. A small boy rushes over and begins to throw pebbles, nearby a couple watches over the children, behind them the promenade and Redcar seafront. A dog runs along the beach while further along the sand the children run around about. Back beside the surf, a couple watches over the children who are now back paddling in the sea. Two of the children run around on the sand near Redcar pier. More people can be seen paddling in the sea, the two older boys rush back towards the water. The young children race around the sand as the two older boys look out onto the water as the water skiers pass by again. The final part of the film shows a wedding taking place at Tyrone in Northern Island and the happy couple coming out of a chapel following the service. They are greeted by their guests who throw confetti over their heads.
