This amateur film begins with disabled children taking exercise and therapy under supervision in a special pool. The film shows a child undergoing medical treatment. The film also shows staff working with children in classroom settings.
The film opens with a view of a special pool at the school designed to give therapy and exercise to disabled children. Members of staff take the children into the pool to help them perform the exercises with the help of the water supporting the child’s body. One of the staff members puts a child in a special floating support encouraging the child to kick her legs. Another child is pulled through the water on her back enabling her to float. A large beach ball appears floating on the water
The view changes to the work of nurses in a treatment room, where a child is having plaster and bandages applied to the calf and ankle. One nurse holds the child’s leg steady, while the other applies the plaster and bandage.
A change of scene as a teacher helps a boy with work he is doing, which seems to involve identifying drawings and saying what they represent. The boy then writes in an exercise book [partly blurred]
In another class a boy works at his desk, using a box with divisions in it, each division labeled with a number from 1 to 6. On the desk are some counters, which the boy uses to put the correct number of counters in the appropriate division.
A girl and boy work at desks next to each other doing a similar exercise. Another boy helps a fellow pupil to put numbers in their correct place on the face of a clock.
At another desk a boy puts some cut shapes illustrated with pictures, into their corresponding spaces on a small board set in a box. [partly blurred]
Some other children play with toys in a supervised playroom. There are small prams and dolls to play with and trolleys to push and other games to play if confined to a chair. A boy gets up on his feet and pushes a pram across the room.
The film ends showing another room where children work at desks writing.
