This home movie begins with views of an ornate flowerbed. People sit on benches nearby and walk around it in a park. This is followed by two children on a swing boat and two older women walking through an amusement park. The final part of the film shows a group of women sitting together having a picnic.
The film opens showing an ornate flower display next to a stone wall. The insignia shown and the lettering is entirely made up of plants. The heading above the display of a cannon with a crown above it reads ‘Artillery Annual Council 1961. The Latin word ‘Ubique’ which appears above the cannon means ‘everywhere’ The whole display is a representation of the insignia of the Royal Artillery.
A number of people sit on benches next to beds of flowers and shrubs next to the Royal Artillery display. The film shows the whole of the display including the rest of Royal Artillery’s motto which in full is, ‘Ubique Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt’; ‘Everywhere Whither Right and Glory Lead’.
The film moves on to show other spectacular flower beds nearby.
A change of view follows showing children playing on swing boats, the film then cuts to two women walking slowly towards the camera. In the background is probably a fairground ride as the word ‘Ghost’ appears on a display board above an entrance or doorway.
The next view shows open grassland where a woman in hat and coat sits at a small table where milk bottles and crockery stand. A woman at the opposite side of the table drying a cup with a tea towel stops and makes a face at the camera. Two other women sit in deck chairs next to her; a Ford Popular car is parked nearby, a group of people sit on the grass next to it. A brief view of two men standing next to the women and a car park in the distance ends the film.
