The film opens with the Scouts as they board a ferry in Hull. Cranes are used to load the ship, and passengers can be seen on deck as the boat leaves the port.
Upon arrival in Belgium, a brass band plays at the docks. The scouts then take a boat cruise along one of the rivers, passing houses and scenic views along the way. They pass through a lock and continue on their journey where they stop at a city. The Scouts briefly tour through the town before making their way to the countryside for a hike. Some of the boys stop, lounging on the grass for a rest in the sun. The Scouts continue on their hike, stopping at a caf? in a smaller town. Back out in the countryside, some of the boys swim in the stream.
During their time in Belgium, the scouts visit both urban and rural areas, taking in the sights the country has to offer. Occasionally they can be seen stopping for lunch. The boys go onto visit The Atomium which was built the 1958 Brussels World fair in Belgium. The film includes many shots of the exhibition centre and closes with scenes of illuminations.
