Title-A Ramsden Film
Title-Coxwold Canvas
The film opens with shots of the countryside, hills and rural villages from a distance away.
A few cows walk along a road and past some stone houses and churches. Shandy Hall is shown, where resident Rev Laurence Sterne wrote `Tristram Shandy' in the late 18th century.
The next shot is of a stone house and a village street. Cyril exits one of the stone buildings, stretches and sits on a bench outside the building. He starts reading a book called `A Book of Common Flowers'. He goes into the building again, and this time comes out with his camera, a case and a stick.
There are a multitude of shots of many types of flowers and plants and shots of Cyril walking past and filming them. Cyril gets stuck trying to get through a white gate into a field.
He walks down another road and sets his camera up in a hedgerow and begins to take shots. From around the corner behind him, a car speeds past him, and he has to jump into the bushes to avoid being hit. He climbs back out and sits down on something sharp; he jumps. He rolls up his trouser leg and rubs his cut knee.
There are zoomed in shots of dandelion seeds blowing away in the breeze followed by more images of plants.
Cyril walks through a field and sits down on some hay. He takes out a bottle of beer and a glass and proceeds to search his picnic basket for a bottle opener. He opens the bottle on the wooden fence beside him and then carefully pours the beer into the glass. He balances the glass on the side of his case and then knocks it over!
Title-The End.
