The Cooper family are filmed here with family and friends, at Kilnsey Cragg, Malton and Scarborough, and at their family home (Rondor) in Leeds.
Title - "1948 Mr and Mrs Watson Friends from Canada"
Jill (Cooper - daughter), the Watsons and an elderley couple are in the front garden at Rondor. They play ring-a-ring of roses with Jill. They inspect the garden and talk. Mick (Cooper - son) joins them on the front lawn and the adults play with him, before another couple join the group.
Title - "Joy Jill Mick and Mummy"
Dora, (mum) carryies Mick and makes him face the camera. They all stand in front of a shed in the back garden of Rondor. Joy is a friend of Jill's.
Title - "Believe it or not! 8-0 am"
Ron, dressed in a suit with waistcoat and tie, smokes a pipe in front of the outhouse in the back garden of Rondor. Dora stands in the doorway of the outhouse and starts to tidy the garden.
An elderly couple stand in a garden and watch a man hoeing his vegetable patch.
Mick climbs into the front of the Cooper's Triumph Razor and sits on the front seat with the passenger door open.
Jill, Mick and Dora walk around the front of the house and stand on the path. Ron (dad), with Mick on his knee, and Jill sit on the front steps. They all wave at the camera.

Francis (Geoff's girlfriend), Geoff (Ron's younger brother), Ron, Mick, Nan (Kathleen Annie - Ron's sister), Pa Cooper, (Ron's dad) Janice (Ron's sister-in-law), Jill, Ma Cooper (Ron's mum), and Les, (Ron's brother - married to Janice) stand in front of Ma and Pa Cooper's house.

The group talk and play together. Mick tries to hit Geoff with a rolling pin. Janice and Les pick up Jill and swing her around.

Jill and Pa Thomas (Dora's dad) walk along the bottom of some cliffs. Young men throw stones from the side of the road towards the cliffs. Jill and Pa Thomas clamber across some rocks near the River Wharfe. Pa has his trousers rolled up.
Title - "Legs - Eleven"
Jill and Pa Thomas stand on a rock that juts out into the river and he pretends to wobble on the rock.
Title - "A stitch in time"
Dora knits in the living room while Ron smokes a pipe and reads the newspaper. Ron then joins Dora on the couch.
Dora sits on a three-legged stool beside their Triumph Razor, tucking Mick's jumper into his dungarees, while he holds a spinning top.
Mick and Jill sit on their stools in front of a statue of a wooden imp. Dora sits on the top step by the front door.
Title - "Daddy with three Imps"
Ron sits on one of the stools next to Jill and Mick. The wooden imp stands behind. Mick runs towards the camera, then back to his dad - Ron picks him up. Ron rolls Mick along the grass, then Mick rolls his dad back across the garden before Jill comes to help. Jill and Mick hold up their wooden stools to show their names on the top. They sit down and Mick gives his sister a hug.
Title - " Garden Inspection"
Jill and Dora hold hands and walk around the front garden of Rondor. Mick looks out of an upstairs window and Jill joins him and opens the window.
Title - "Vera and Stanley Wheatley with Pauline and Geoffrey"
Stanley, Dora, Jill and Vera stand whilst Pauline, Mick and Geoffrey sit in the front garden of Rondor and talk. Mick rolls a toy drum down the garden to Geoffrey. Pauline and Stanley dance while Jill, Dora and Vera watch. The children all gather around the wooden imp, and Jill and Geoffrey dance.
Auntie Ana (Christiana Cooper - Ron's aunt) and Dora are in Scarborough, with their backs against the railings and the sea in the background. It appears to be cold as both are wearing large overcoats.
Jill and Mick are on the empty beach, paddling in the pools that have been left by the tide. View from the beach of Auntie Ana and Dora leaning on the railings watching Jill and Mick who are paddling in the sea.
Jill reads a book while Dora writes and Mick sits in the garden of Rose Cottage (on East St in Swinton, Ron's great-great grandfather built the house and was lived in by the Cooper family). Mick waves at the camera, and Jill and Mick take a walk down the garden path.
Auntie Ana, Pa and Ma Cooper (Ron's parents), Mick , Jill and Dora stand with their backs to the sea, leaning against the railings in Scarborough. Both Jill and Dora's dresses are blown around in the wind. Ron joins them and Dora takes the camera.
Title - "The Green Man Malton Market Place 1948"
(The Green Man was an old coach inn - and now a hotel in Malton.) Dora, Mick, Ma Thomas (Dora's mum), Auntie Ana, Pa Thomas (Dora's dad), Ma Cooper, Jill and Pa Cooper walking along the high street in Malton.
Title - "Rough Sea at Scarborough"
Views out to sea and of crashing waves as the tide comes in. Mick and Jill dig in the sand with a spade, both wearing overcoats. Mick wears a woolly hat and Jill a headscarf. They play in the sand and people stroll along the beach in the background.
