Title - "Whit - Monday 1948"
(Whit Monday being after Whit Sunday [the seventh Sunday after Easter]).
Small crowd of people, the camera is in their midst, some of whom have music scores in their hand. At the front a man wears a uniform, (possibly Salvation Army/ or the uniform of the Swinton Brass Band) he appears to be singing. A man on a platform stands at the front, conducting the group. This man could possibly be Clarence Cartwright ('Clarry'). The band stand around the platform; they are all playing their instruments. One of the men in the band is wearing an Army uniform, (he is playing a trombone) most of the other men are wearing suits, there are a few others wearing the Swinton Brass Band uniform and there are a couple of children playing trumpets at the front.
An awards ceremony. A smartly dressed woman presents a cup to one of the conductors. She then hands a package to the other conductor. Doreen sits on a chair with Mick (her son) on her lap. Nan and Pa Thomas (Doreen's mum and dad) and Auntie Ana (Ron's aunt) and Jill (their daughter) walk past the camera - Doreen and Mick are behind them.
Title - "The Cooper Twins"
The family pose for the camera - Jill and Mick are at the end and their extended family including two young twin boys are in the middle.
This part of the film is then concluded with "The End".
Colour film of Jill pinning a poster up on a garage door - the poster reads:

[The 'Bandroom' is the stone, rectangular shaped building on Middle St in Swinton. Col. Brehen saved the band a couple of times as he allowed them to meet in one of his disused cow sheds during the war years - the 'Bandroom' was requisitioned for Army purposes. He also bought the 'Bandroom' for the band's purpose, so that they would always have somewhere to practice.]
A brass band walk along the road whilst playing. A car passes on their right, behind them is a procession (Whit-parade) of children in fancy dress outfits, there is a: pirate, cleaner, cowboy, lamb, painter, Gollywog, Victorian Gentleman, milkmaid, Robin Hood and Father Christmas (on a tricycle). A couple of children pushing decorated bikes bring up the rear. The procession turns into a field and all are gathered - there is a tomato, Queen of Hearts (complete with tarts), a blacksmith, a young mum, a Victorian Lady, a gypsy, a bride and two flower girls. There is also a girl's pram that has been decorated with white and pink flowers. They are all directed to file past the camera one at a time.
The adults and some of the other children stand in a row, looking at the camera. One of the boys moves along so that he can continue to stay in shot.
A cake stall with a crowd around it. Another stall with lots of cans and jars. Some children try to hook six glass bottles with a hoop attached to fishing rods.
Three men stand around talking, they all wear suits and one has a rose in his buttonhole. Large crowds in the field. Close-ups of babies and children in their prams and a large group of children standing in a line - some of the boys appear to be wearing their school caps. The children then line up and run past the camera.
A group of men pick up rubbish from the grass. A man throws three darts at a dartboard - and hits the bulls-eye!
The film ends with children playing their brass instruments - a man conducts them.
