The film begins with scenes on the city streets of Bradford showing people shopping, walking along the streets, getting on buses etc. The filmmaker seems to concentrate on members of the minority communities, specifically people of the Asian and Black communities, when filming these scenes around Bradford. Towards the end of the film, a group of students (possibly members of Bradford College) gather for a short dramatic arts street performance. They have gathered in the city centre, and many intrigued passersby pause to watch the performance.
Context

After the end of the Second World War in 1945, there was a significant increase in immigration in the UK. Families from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and many other nations, were welcomed into the country by the British government. Many immigrants chose to reside in Yorkshire and continue to enrich local life and culture.
