Title - There it ain't.
Mr Brown (the main protagonist) wears a white shirt with a grey tie, and has a typically shaggy 1970s haircut. The film opens with Mr Brown sitting at the breakfast table eating an English breakfast. The paper arrives through the letter box, but just as Mr Brown goes to collect it, a thief grabs it and runs off. Returning to the kitchen, the man discovers that the dog has eaten his breakfast. From this point on his bad luck escalates when a thief steals his car stereo, and eventually, his entire car.
On the way to the police station, he cycles down various streets in Doncaster and crashes into his stolen car, which drives off before he has time to realise. Cycling to the police station he stops and loses his wallet in phone box.
Eventually he arrives at the police station where he informs the police of his predicament. Inside the police station there are shots of various constables going about their work on type writers. After reporting the crime, Mr Brown returns to his bike to find it covered in mud with the lock gone. A police constable suspects that he has stolen the bike and arrests him.
Leaving the police station once again, Mr Brown cycles down various country lanes. Moving at some speed, he suddenly realises that his brakes do not work and he crashes. Mr Brown now carries the broken bike back home, where, to his astonishment, he discovers his house has been removed by a truck. The final shot shows his dog waiting outside on the pavement.
