Title - Edinburgh.
The film opens with a close up of a sign which reads 'Royal botanical gardens', and there are then views of the horticulture and verdant gardens. Children then have fun in a playground, before there are more views of flowers and several shots of squirrels.
People are then captured sitting on benches in a park, and this is followed by views of the famous Princes Street, which includes a brief glimpse of Edinburgh castle. A small flower garden that have been arranged to form pictures is then shown and the filmmaker captures people sitting around having picnics.
A brief sequence next shows the people walking up the towards Edinburgh castle, where a crowd gathers to watch a cannon being fired. A close up of a street sign reads 'Candle maker row' and this sequence shows streets and statues.
A sign reads 'The Royal Zoological society of Scotland - Entrance', and the filmmaker shows the animals that inhabit the zoo which include deer, chimpanzees, bears, leopards, owls, penguins, rhinos and other animals. There are then a brief shot of young children dragging each other around in a cart. An elephant then uses its trunk to touch some visitors who stand above on a parapet. Penguins are then lead through the crowded paths by zookeepers, and visitors watch with a keen interest. The final shots of this film show lions, tigers and flamingos.
