Title - Blackpool illuminations special 72.
The opening shot shows the archway to Blackpool pier which is lit up with the words 'Welcome Blackpool & the piers' on it. A picture made from lights is then shown, which depicts a horse and carriage and a winding road leading up to a castle. The following shots show the more of the illuminations and some moving models. Next, the arch to the pleasure beach is shown, and there are various shots of the attractions, which include a Ferris wheel, a fun house and a monorail.
The filmmaker then captures some of the floats; the first is a large illuminated rocket, with a sign at the front that reads 'Powerful Lucas Batteries', next there is a grand passenger ship and finally a steam train. Then there are shots of all the light decorations that hang over Blackpool streets. More shots of the decorative illuminations show some that are made to look like trees, clocks and picture frames.
There is then a sign for 'Louis Tussards' and the shorefront all lit up. Blackpool Tower is then captured by the filmmaker, followed by some shots of various clocks, trams and trains. A house is shown all decked out in myriad of lights, and this superseded by a steam boat float and Snowflakes which glint in the dark streets . A passenger ship then drives past the camera and the filmmaker then focuses briefly on spinning windmill light decorations and a sign that says 'cliff'. The final sequence captures more of the splendid illuminations including light animations, Catherine wheels and more views of Blackpool Tower.
