Title - Stapleford Park
The film opens with a young lion and lioness on some grass. Fully grown lions wander around and lie down in some grass. There is then a shot of a monkey on top of a wall, before another monkey is shown bounding through the grass. There is a deer lying in some long grass, while in the background, a passenger bus can be seen. People queue beneath an archway.
A miniature steam railway is then shown stationary in a small pretend station, and the filmmaker captures the driver shovelling hot coals onto one of the trailers. The train sets off down the track past onlookers watching from the station, and some young boys run after the train. There are the close ups of several people including a man who wears a hat and glasses. Several close ups show the miniature locomotive, and there is a plaque on its body which reads 'Blanche of Lancaster'.
The railway workers push another train out of a shed, and a close of a plaque on it says 'John of Gaunt'. There is a shot of the station house, which has a 'Stapleford station' sign. The train is now filled with passengers and sets off on a journey, before being stopped by a road crossing where the gates rise up. Now on board the train, the filmmaker captures the train driver engulfed in thick clouds of smoke as the train passes through a tunnel, and there is also a shot of a young boy who runs in parallel with the train.
The train stops by a lake with various boats moored along the banks. The filmmaker gets brief close ups of the train, including the controls. The action then moves to the lake, and the filmmaker captures a man filming with a handheld cine camera and another man who holds a small dog in his arms standing on the banks. There are views from a boat that travels across the lake of the wildlife that inhabit the lake, such as swans, ducks and moorhens. The boat returns to the dock, where a man in a suit hops off to tie the boat up. The final sequence shows the return journey on the miniature train, which captures the passengers (of all ages) enjoying the ride back.
Title - The end.
