The film opens with a seated man cleaning one of the parts of the model. The camera slowly moves across the model which has a painted background showing the buildings on the river, the old city, and a castle (Clifford's Tower) on a hill in the distance. The sailing ships with their rigging can be seen in detail along with some of the smaller parts of the model, including people, chickens and small clay pots. At the end a small model bicycle is leaning against a wall.
