This film is a record of a number of events which took place in 1986 including a family trip to Asia, a wedding and Girl Guide Jubilee celebrations.
The film opens outside a church where a bride and groom pose for pictures after the wedding ceremony. The wedding guests can also be seen outside the church, and they all make their way to the reception.
Next, Girl Guides are at a campsite. They set up a fire in a field, and the neighbouring town can be seen in the background.
In Hong Kong, the filmmaker takes footage from the deck of a boat as it comes into a busy harbour. There are huge goods transport ships, and the city is quite built up as many sky-scrapers can be seen. There are also more traditional fishing and travel boats in the harbour.
At the Girl Guide Jubilee celebration, groups of Brown Owl leaders pose for photos. Most of them are in fancy dress. There is brief footage of an indoor ceremony where the girls are dressed in uniform. They parade through the town streets, possibly in Ripon, before the festivities move to an open field where the leaders in fancy dress form a conga line.
Next is a trip to Thailand. Different sites, including traditional architecture, are captured, as well as parts of the market and local craftsmen. They then take a tour along the river which is lined with houses and boats. This part of the film ends with footage around the filmmaker's hotel which includes a large pool.
Wedding guests arrive at the Parish Church of St. James. Many of them gather outside and wait before going into the church. The bride arrives and poses with her bridesmaids. After the ceremony, the newlyweds exit the church and pose for pictures. They are followed by the wedding guests who all make their way to the nearby reception.
