A film from the Jowett Car Club collection that chronicles the club's annual rally of Jowett Automobiles including famous models such as 'Jupiter' and 'Spirit'. The cars were first built in 1906 by a small engineering firm based in Bradford owned by brothers William and Benjamin Jowett. In 1954 production stopped but these classic cars have not disappeared as they have been entered in both national and international car rallies such as this club rally taking place in Kent.
This film opens with a shot taken from across a road looking over to the far side of it; many classic cars drive along the road. The camera pans from one side of a roundabout junction to the other and on the roundabout a sign for the rally can be seen.
In another shot the camera is focused down a country lane where the cars drive to get to the rally.

Shot of large gates outside of an estate; some vans and cars come and go up along the drive and the ones leaving head out onto the country lane.
The next shots have been taken from outside of a building called `The Malta Pub and Beefeater Steak House'. Lots of the classic cars have parked outside and there are more close-up shots of the bar and the drivers wandering into the building. Shots from the car park show the variety of cars attending the rally. Some of the cars leave the car park and head out onto the road again.
In a following scene some men have parked their cars at the side of the road and are watching as one of the men works on the engine of one of the cars; they finish up and drive off. The camera captures the cars as they drive over hump back bridges and eventually into a town.
Title-Sunday 27th May.
Concours d' Elegance, section displays and Grand Parade and prize giving at Leeds Castle from 10.00 am.
There are shots of a large circus-style tent which has been erected in a field with lots of classic cars lined up in rows; the camera pans to take them all in. A lake and a castle are visible in the background.
Inside of the tent there is an exhibition of car parts and stalls. Two men put an old car together for their stall. At other tables there are spare parts, lots of visitors, stalls with homemade edibles, bottles of juice and another stall sells souvenirs.
Outside a woman tries to feed a duck that has wandered over. Out on the road in a tent is pitched and a man stands outside of it giving directions to cars that are arriving. There is a long-distance shot of the exhibition field. People look at the cars and car owners clean and fix their own.
There are shots of an award ceremony in which the winning cars drive in file along the grass towards the chairman; the drivers get out of the cars, walk up to the man and receive their trophies.
Title-Monday, 28th May.

In the tent five men roll a very basic but old looking car up onto a trailer.
