Title-National Jowett Rally Buxton June 1976
Title-Camera: Pauline and Syd Laycock.
The film opens with a shot of a sign which reads `Welcome to Buxton' and then nearby is a sign for the car rally.
In the exhibition grounds there are shots of some vehicles parked around, including a Jowett truck. Also on show are three large, glass cases with objects inside.
In another scene a classic car has its bonnet open and the engine is on show. Beside it is a stand for Jowett Car Club. The sign on the stand reads `The Oldest One Make Car Club'.
There are many men, women and children walking around and looking at the cars that are on show in the exhibition field and in the exhibition forecourt.
There is a long sequence which captures the car trials. Many different cars of all makes and vintages drive around the course.
There is a brief shot of some of the stalls that have been set up in the sun for the exhibition. This is followed by even more shots of the car trials as well as the spectators and the judges taking notes.
In the following scene a group of traditional dancers entertain the spectators in the exhibition forecourt. They do lots of dances in the Morris dancing style.
Car owners clean their cars, and underneath them, fix any last minute problems.
A tug-of-war game is underway with a group of men pulling an old-style truck, and then this cuts to some children having a go on some type of short slide ride.
A parade of winning cars drive past the Chairman of the club and he shakes their hands and gives them prizes. The final shot is of the classic cars leaving the exhibition grounds and driving through the town. Many of the drivers smile at the camera.
