This is a film of a family holiday touring places along the Yorkshire coast, including Whitby, Scarborough and Flamborough.
The film begins in a harbour full of boats, sailing and fishing, and cars parked nearby. There is a view over the beach and the mountain lift at Scarborough. There is a brief film of the coastal train ride and then the beach again. Then there is a view of a church, before switching back to the coast and a pleasure boat leaving the harbour. People wander about and sit on the jetty.
The film then switches to the cliffs at Bempton and the lighthouse at Flamborough. A couple walk along the beach holding the hands of a small girl taking her first steps. A lifeboat is launched, and then we are at the boat lake at Scarborough and people on the beach. Then back to see people on the beach at Flamborough.
The family then make their way to Whitby, stopping their car (Reg. DHN 397) by the side of the road to have a picnic. Next there is another beach filled with people, possibly Bridlington. This is followed by a view across Whitby onto the Abbey and harbour. There is a poster for Scarborough. A man comes out of a house and walks along a road. Then Mrs Kemp is seen walking along the coastal road at Scarborough. She looks down onto the beach and the Victoria Hotel. People are walking around the lake in Peasholm Park, with one boy wading through the water up to his knees. People are out in boats and a band is playing on the bandstand out on the lake. The miniature railway comes around a bend.
The End.
