Title - Presenting
Our
Daughter
Stella Anne
The film opens with a close up which shows the mother holding the baby in her arms before another shot captures the baby sitting up in her pram.
Title - The Stork Arrives
Is it a boy or a girl
Crikey! It's not our Horrace
It's a girl
And here she is
Mother's Darling
Singing lessons in a pram
A good close up shows the little baby girl screaming before mother steps in to rock her daughter. Once calmed, the little girl sits on her father's lap while he reads the newspaper. There is more footage of mother and daughter together.
Title - Bath Time
The baby is bathed in a large washbowl before her mother dries her off with a towel and plays with a stuffed toy. Some of the footage is fairly bleached out but captures these touching moments.
Title - The Musical Hour
Clear close ups are taken of the baby as she bangs her hands on her high chair, smiling at the camera. This is followed by a good shot of her being gently held by her father. Other family or friends are also at the house, and two men pose for the camera while they hold their children. There is more footage of the baby being fed in the highchair as well as playing in playpen. The action then moves outside to the garden and there are views of the baby in a playpen and then playing in a sandpit.
Title - Learning To Walk
The little girl is in a harness. Her father helps her walk around the back garden. Close ups show her now able to stand up, but she is on reigns so she can't run off! The little girl then walks on her own towards the camera.
Title - Stella Anne's First Birthday
The mantle place is full of birthday cards on display. This is followed by more footage of a baby outside in a cradle and then playing with her sister and father.
Title - Play Time
Now the child is older and runs around the garden, clear long shots show her in on a rocking horse and running around with a dolly in the snow.
The film switches to colour stock, and a group of older boys and girls are playing in the garden. The daughter is now four years old as this part of the film dates 1937.
