The film opens with a woman getting into a car. There is a brief shot of the travellers stopping for a picnic before scenes of the port where they will catch a ferry to France. Other ships can be seen. Once in France, there are scenic views of the countryside. The family pose for the camera as they stand outside a shop.
A huge religious parade takes place. The streets are packed with people, and the priests and altar boys make their way to an outdoor altar where they will perform a service. There is a brass band which performs, and the young girls and boys process down the street. This is most likely a Frist Holy Communion ceremony as the girls are dressed in white dresses and veils.
The filmmaker's children are playing on a beach on a sunny day. The older women lie on towels and sunbathe on the beach, and later on they play with the children in the water. The family then go on a boat tour, and footage is taken from the deck of the small boat. Some of the passengers can be seen. Following this are scenic views of the coast, the nearby buildings, and finally the sun setting over the water.
A little girl holds a baguette, and this is followed by more footage of the family enjoying themselves on the beach. Again, the children are playing in the water while the adults lie in the sun. Following this is footage of a woman playing around with a baguette, playing it like a musical instrument.
There is a parade which takes place down a town street. Police direct traffic to let the floats and cars pass, and there are spectators which line the streets. The cars are followed by a large group of cyclists (possibly the Tour de France?)
Next is footage of other local sites, and while on holiday, the filmmaker captures newlyweds coming out of a church after their marriage service. The film ends with a shot of The Whitehouse Hotel.
