The film opens showing a man, woman, and two children canoeing at a bay. This is followed by a brief shot taken from the back of a speed boat. Later, the children can be seen playing on a swing set at the playground.
The film then moves onto a rocky cove where two boys pull the canoe that is on the sand into the water. They then proceed to canoe out onto open waters. Back at the beach the filmmaker's family has a picnic lunch on the sand. The film closes showing the boys still canoeing in the calm sea.
