Title: A Goshawk catches a bone in mid-air Again, in slow-motion the falconer throws a bone into the air which is caught mid-air by the Goshawk. Title: A Peregrine guarding its young A Peregrine falcon sits on a tree branch, behind it a waterfall. On a nest two chicks, one grooming itself. The adult appears with food which the now three chicks begin to consume. Title: The Marsh hawk The Marsh hawk stands over a clutch of eggs in a nest built in marsh reeds. She tends to the nest before sitting on the eggs. Title: Brooding its young in the marsh The Marsh hawk watches over three fluffy chicks who are walk around near to the nest, she flies up and lands on a perch before flying back to the nest with food which two of the four chicks in the nest begin to consume. She flies away again leaving the two feeding chicks to fight over what is left. Title: A stuffed owl is set up as a decoy The Marsh hawk flies over the stuffed owl sitting on its branch several times before eventually attacking it knocking its head off. Back on the nest three of the chicks waiting on food, the female lands with dinner. Title: Rough-legged hawks The head of a Rough-legged hawk sitting on a perch, the bird makes a cry as it looks around. Title The nest or eyrie at the top of the cliff A man climbs a steep cliff face towards the Rough-legged hawks and its nest sitting out on a precipice. The parents sit around the edges of the nest, beyond a woody landscape with a river or lake running through it. Title: The legs are covered with feathers A man holds up a Rough-legged hawk showing its feathered legs and talons. Five Rough-legged hawk chicks, currently fledging, are released and they hop across the nest coming to rest on a nearby ledge. Title: Owls A Barn owl sits in the hollow of a tree. Title: The home of the Barn owl Two boys climb across the long limbs of a tree towards the hollow where the owl is. One of them reaches inside pulling out the Barn owl by its legs, he calms the bird down by stroking it feathers before placing it on the edge of the hollow where it sits calmly. Title: The young of the same brood are of various ages Three Barn owl chicks laying on the ground. Title: Young owls are covered with white down Two large fluffy owl chicks sitting on a tree limb changes to the boy seen earlier sitting with one chick on his shoulder and the other on a tree branch with the boy stroking it. The boy strokes the chick on his shoulder, it tries to bite his fingers. Title: About half-grown In a tree hollow seven fledgling aged owl chicks cramped in together, on a nearby perch the adult watching over her clutch. Title: The feathers edged with down make flight noiseless A hand strokes the down on the underside of a n owl wing is followed by a detailed look at the feathers and their tips. The Barn owl sits on a perch. Title: Ears that can hear footsteps of a mouse A close up of the owl’s head, a hand pulls back its feathers to show an ear. Two mice scurrying about a tree stump. Title: The Great horned owl A Great horned owl sitting on a perch looking around. Title: Hooked beak and sharp talons serve as weapons A close up of the owl’s sharp beak and talons. Title: The owl has eyes that can see in the dark The Great horned owl sits in a tree its eyes looking out for prey. Another closeup of its beak changes to it now with a mouse in its mouth. It proceeds to eat it slowly swallowing it down whole. Sitting on its perch it looks around. Title: The pellets are the skin and bones of the prey The owl vomits up the remains of its meal onto the ground, a pair of hands holds a pellet taking it apart to show what is inside. Title: The discards of the week The hands now hold a mass made up of various pellets, the owl sits in a tree looking for its next meal. Title: Vultures and Eagles A swarm of vultures flying through the sky above while other sits on branches atop a tree. Title A Black vulture A Black vulture sits on a perch, it squawks. Title: Downy young vultures Two fluffy vulture chicks standing on the ground next to a lake. Title: Bald eagles A Bald eagle sits on a high branch of a dead tree changes to closeups of its head and talons. In another tree a nest with an eagle in it, a second bird comes in with food for their young.
