The film opens with an engagement party for Peter Hainsworth's eldest son Timothy, and Timothy's fianc? Diana Fisher at Claremont, New Street, Farsley. The guests stand around chatting and drinking, and some people smile and laugh at camera. One of the women is picked up by a man and then put down again.
Following this is footage from the wedding of James Fraser and Mandy Turner at Brighouse in West Yorkshire. There are many shots of the bridal party arriving at the church, the guests gathered before and after the ceremony, and shots of the married couple.
Roger Hainsworth, Peter's forth son, dives of a sunny jetty and into Lake Zug in Switzerland, while on a family holiday. There is a sequence with brief shots of a passenger ship giving tours of the lake and also shots of the hotel annex where the family are staying.
There is a shot of Roger Hainsworth at the newly constructed and opened Thruscross reservoir, in Washburn Valley.
Back in Switzerland shots of a man diving off a sunny jetty in a lake and then shots of him and other young men and women in pedallos and on the water in little canoes. Behind them can be seen the `Dependance Hotel Rigi Paradies'. Then there are shots from a boat trip around the lake.
Roger and Peter Hainsworth pose for the camera on a ferry as they make their way home from Tenerife.
The next section is a long sequence of wedding footage taken from several weddings: Tim Hainsworth and Diana Fisher at Collingham in Nottinghamshire, the wedding of Clare Cordingley and Peter Goodchild at Bramhope in Leeds, Miranda Knox and Geoffrey Armitage in Ilkely, the wedding of Susan Bates and Jeff Greeves at Weeton near Harrogate, Caroline Raper and Ali Alemi at Leeds Register Office in Park Square, the wedding of Elizabeth Raper and Chris Taylor at Roundhay in Leeds and to the reception afterwards at the Mansion at Roundhay Park. The films contained shots of the wedding parties arriving at the church venue, the guests gathered and chatting beforehand and the married couple and the guests after the ceremony.
There is also footage from a ruby wedding party that the Hainsworth Family attended in Southport. It was for Margaret and Norman Barlow and Margaret was Charles's eldest daughter.
