This is a film from the Ibberson family collection. Set in what looks like dales country, the film contains footage of hound racing and sheep dog trials. There are shots of the dogs at work and the large crowd of spectators which have gathered to watch. There is also a brief clip of people outside a church at what appears to be a guest function. The film opens up on a field where owners and their hounds have gathered before the races. All the dogs are still on leads, and a large crowd of spectators have gathered to watch the events. Next there is a brief scene outside of a church. Many people, all in their Sunday best, stand outside the church, chatting in the sun. Back at the field, sheep dog trials take place. Many spectators sit on wooded folding chairs, and there are a few tents set up around the side-lines. The dogs and trainers try to get the sheep into the pens. Following the sheep dog trails is a hound race. Owners and their dogs line up on the starting line, and then the dogs are released. One dog wins the race and is far ahead of the others. People run out onto the field when the dog returns. This is followed by a brief shot of what appears to be the awards tent. The film closes with scenes of a few of the day's participants hanging around after the event. The sun is low in the sky.
