Description This is a film showing the send-off for the Lord Mayor of York on a visit to the US in 1950.
The film begins showing the Lord Mayor leaving Mansion House, in York, with fellow dignitaries. He boards a car, whilst others take a bus marked 'West Yorkshire', and they arrive at a function at the Station Hotel. Outside a band and soldiers march past, presumably to see him off. He leaves the hotel and inspects the soldiers outside the station. He is then shown being seen off on the station platform.
