This is the eighth of a series of films made by Derrick Walton of his son, Adrian, from birth through childhood.  This film shows Skipton Grammar School Cross Country, Adrian with the 2431 Keighley Squadron of the Air Training Corps, and Keighley Gala. The film begins with Adrian on the Skipton Grammar School Cross Country run in the sleet, with Adrian running alongside a mate dressed in a purple sports kit.  It then moves to Adrian and other members of the family leaving a house and arriving at the Air Training Corps for the 2431 Keighley Squadron.  Here he joins a group of other boys who are started off in a race from a side street by a Squadron leader.  The film follows the boys as they make their way in the pouring rain along country roads.  They are then seen, now in uniform, on the platform at Keighley station about to go on summer camp. The film switches to show model boats being sailed on a reservoir, and then Adrian flying a model glider somewhere by the coast.  Adrian is next seen swimming in a river, whilst his dad heads out in a dinghy, as does his sister.  He then plays ball with his mother.  The film switches to Keighley Gala, with Adrian marching with the cadets, and the film comes to an end.
