This is the second of a series of films made by Derrick Walton of his son, Adrian, from birth through childhood.  This film covers his christening, his first birthday, and Christmas at his grandparents' home. The film begins with Adrian sitting in his pram on a sunny day, looking out at the garden.  He then sits on the lawn with his mum and dad.  Then his grandad carries him around as they look out to see a train passing in the distance. Other family members are there to celebrate an anniversary.  The dining table is laid out with food and a cake.  Adrian is joined by two other children, possibly cousins.  He then gets placed into a child’s seat in the car and they drive off to visit grandparents.  They all get together in the back garden, looking out onto the countryside.  Inside the house Adrian stands up in a playpen.  They then drive out to some moorland. There is more footage of a table laid out with food, this time for Adrian’s first birthday.  The candle on the birthday cake is lit and cards opened.  His dad then gives Adrian a bath.  Next there is a bonfire and a fireworks display.  Then Adrian gets taken for a walk and a drive through Skipton to his other grandparents for Christmas, with cards on the wall.  Adrian plays with a tin drum and other toys.  After looking at the Christmas tree, Adrian helps out stripping wallpaper.  He then has a run around the garden before they have some guests, one of whom blows bubbles with him. The film finishes with Adrian playing with a ball outside the house.
