Title: 'Parkland Production presents Never Again, starring Joan and Jim Payne.'
The film opens in Joan and Jim's house with Jim editing a film while Joan reads a magazine. Joan turns to Jim and speaks to him in a speeded up voice - presumably to ask him to clean the windows as this is what he does. When he returns to carry on she again, having eaten a chocolate, turns to him and speaks to him in a speeded up voice. In a slowed down voice he replies 'no', and gets up to clean the car. In the meantime Joan has another chocolate and an iron tablet, and when he returns she says something and walks off. As Joan returns Jim feeds a film through a projector and goes out. He returns in a drunken state, holding a bottle of spirits. Joan gives him a telling off. He gives her a two-fingered salute in response, at which point she seems to suffer some kind of attack - she holds her side - and takes more tablets.
The following morning Jim emerges with a hangover. Joan appears and orders him to do some gardening. As he digs in the garden Joan leaves to go to the shops. Jim abandons his digging and goes back inside, only for Joan to reappear at the end of the street and start nagging again. Jim resumes his task, and when he stops, he continues to hear her speeded up nagging. Inside the house, he gets a gun from out of a cupboard. He then marks the side of his head with red ink to simulate blood and lies down with the gun in his hand to feign suicide. On her return Joan, unpacks the shopping, putting some items on the stairs, and on seeing Jim on the floor, collapses next to him. Jim gets up, checks her pulse and heart and calls for an ambulance. Upon going up the stairs, Jim slips on a new bar of soap Joan had put there and gets knocked unconscious. The ambulance makes its way to the house.
