The film begins showing a cruise boat going under Tower Bridge. A sailing boat comes into view and moors. A couple of teenagers look at a sculpture of a wheel. Nearby there is a footbridge over a canal where there are more boats. There is a sign for 'Historic Ships', where there is a tall sailing ship and a tug boat. The ship 'The Kathleen and Mary' has been thoroughly spruced up. It has a plaque for the Maritime's Trust which states that it was restored in 1971 by M Y K Pao. In the background there is a lighthouse boat and 'Dickens' Inn'. Children run around the boats. One boat, 'The Challenger', is being repainted. The film shows some of the nearby shops and other boats. A swing bridge is raised to allow a sailing boat to pass. The film closes showing tug boats pulling barges under Tower Bridge.
