From an Athens hotel room television aerial dominates the skyline, in the distance the Acropolis of Athens. On the balcony of an apartment building a man tends his flowers.
Phantom car ride along a congested Athens street with pavements busy with pedestrians. A policeman uses a whistle to help direct traffic.
Outside the Presidential Mansion a Evzones soldier in ceremonial uniform marches up and down in unique style. On a Sunday morning crowds gather to watch as a marching band take part in the changing of the guard outside the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.
At the Athens’ Flea Market large crowds wonder along narrow streets past stalls selling various goods. A woman sells bags of tea produced in the nearby hills, a man walks past carrying a large tray of circular donuts or equivalent. A number of Vespa motorbikes are parked nearby.
The sea from a cruise ship making its way to one of the smaller islands. People and donkeys walk along a street, a small dog chases a cat. At a marina, a member of the Greek Orthodox Church is cassock and sunglasses walk along a jetty, two women with coverings over their heads walk in the opposite direction. Near the water children use fishing nets to scoop the water with many small fishing boats moored nearby.
Another cruise ship at sea followed by views in both directions along the Corinth Canal. Early morning in a small village and a shop owner winds down an awning while nearby another woman sweeps the street outside her property. A small child walks inside as cars drive past throwing up dust.
In the surrounding hills surrounding Corinth cotton plants grow, an official waves his arms indicating that filming is not permitted. Nearby other tourists take photographs as both George and Peter nod their heads listening to the official. At a historic site a number of stone columns, nearby a local woman watches over her crop of drying tobacco which hang in rows along a road.
At the ancient city of Mycenae the Lion Gate at the entrance to the citadel. Tourists walk around a large amphitheatre, more views of the surrounding ruins.
A tour guide speaks with a travel group looking around the ruins on Delphi, views of a number of stone columns. The sacred Omphalos Stone followed by the Pythia or the Oracle of Delphi. Two visits rest on the stone steps, part of an athletics stadium is followed by more views of the site.
Crowds of visits walk around the Acropolis of Athens, one small boy falls over in the dust. Two older women take photographs of the Caryatid porch of the Erechtheion. Tourists walk past both scaffolding surrounding a number of columns as well as a number of large floodlights pointing up towards the Acropolis.
At night and in the distance the Acropolis illuminated as part of a light lights, a sudden flash and the building goes dark. The film ends back outside the Presidential Mansion and a solider marching up and down.
