Title: A Look at Paris
A postcard of the Arc de Triomphe and a man purchasing a print or painting from a street vendor in Paris. At a pet shop, pedestrians walk past a tank of Goldfish and cages of birds. At a flower shop, two women stop to admire the bouquets on display on the pavement.
Water cleans the gutters around a street of parked cars. A woman stands in the doorway of the flower shop, nearby at a tap in the streets fills a bucket. Water again flow in the gutter, in the near distance the Arc de Triomphe and people coming and going up and down the nearby Paris Metro escalator.
At the base of the Arc de Triomphe a display of flowers followed by cars and other vehicles travelling around the roundabout. A policeman stands in the road watching the traffic passing around him. A traffic warden writes notes on a pad relating to a parked car, nearby a number of young roller-skaters skate around a lamppost.
Through the mist the Eiffel Tower, a class of pre-school children walk hand-in-hand through the Champs de Mars. Children play on the grass as a woman walks her Sausage dog through the park. Others walk through the autumnal park with leaves covering the ground.
An elevator climbs through the lattice metal work of the Eiffel Tower, at the top a young man looks through public binoculars down on the city below including a training sailing ship docked on the River Seine.
From a sightseeing ship traveling along the Seine passing Notre-Dame de Paris. Outside the cathedrals misty entrance tourist gather as traffic travels past. On an open space in front of the building a frisbee is thrown about, the structure itself rising through the mist in the background.
A road sign for The Centre Pompidou followed the high-tech building itself. Nearby a flower seller.
In a treelined park a group of older men play Boules on sandy ground. In the background the Paris traffic speeds past. One man uses a magnet to pick up his metal balls.
Looking through the Fontaine de la Concorde the Obelisk of Luxor in the near distance. Visitors take photographs of the ornate fountain including George Theaker who takes a photo for a couple posing by it.
From the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel the nearby the Louvre Museum. A violist busks in the shadows of the building.
The film ends on colourful neon signs light up buildings at night and George buying a French Crepe from a stall.
