A traffic sign at a roundabout with roads leading along the A187 North Shields in one direction and Tyne Tunnel A108 and Morpeth (A1) the other. Traffic travels around said roundabout. Three men stand along a wooden quayside at North Shields is followed by someone crossing John Street in the coastal village Cullercoats. Traffic travels past a row of terraced houses and shops as well as Cullercoats Infant and Junior School. Cars are parked outside a terrace of houses on Dove Street. The hording above a shop reads ‘W&E Reed Fruiters’, a display of fruit in the shop window. General views of some of the houses in the street followed by the playground of a school, possibly Cullercoats Infant and Junior School. Additional general views of traffic and streets seen previously. A demolition crew work to demolish Cullercoats Infant and Junior School on John Street. The building now demolished rubble remains, the film changes to show the area cleared and now a grassed over area. The film ends on a man loading sacks into the back of a transit van.
