An amateur film of a visit to a social club on Teesside by Fred Trueman, Brian Close and other members of the Yorkshire Cricket Team. The team was in Middlesbrough playing a game against Kent, the film features the team mingling with the crowds who had come to see them with Fred pulling a pint of beer behind the bar and signing autographs. Before the visit the features another presentation and a female singer performing a routine on stage.

The team was in Middlesbrough playing a game against Kent, the film features the team mingling with the crowds who had come to see them with Fred pulling a pint of beer behind the bar and signing autographs. Before the visit the features another presentation and a female singer performing a routine on stage.
Two men on a small stage, one speaking into a microphone. A number of other men come onto the stage and are presented with small awards, some shake hands with the men. The last man to be presents walks off the stage and back to his table.
Men and women sit around tables or along the wall of the club chatting and looking at the camera as it passes. Two men sitting at their table picks up and drink from their pints of beer. Other men around the rooms stand chatting while holding their pints while others sit drinking and chatting happily.
A woman in a sparkly dress performs a song and dance routine on the stage, a man at a piano beside the stage accompanies her.
Fred Trueman, Brian Close and other members of the Yorkshire Cricket Club team arrive at the club. As he makes his way into the room Fred Trueman shakes hands and speaks with some of those there.
Around a small table the team sits, Fred gets to his feet and goes onto the stage where three other men are standing. Two of the men speak into the microphone before Fred is presented with and envelope and everyone applauded. He makes a speech into the microphone.
Around the room locals chat happily with members of the cricket team. An older woman stands beside her husband while conversations continue around them. A man wearing a bowtie and dinner-jacket puts his arms around the woman. A man stands in a chair waving his arms like a tic-tac man at a racecourse.
At the bar Fred Trueman signs autographs before pulling a pint of beer watched by a crowd of men and women. He raises the pint for the camera and takes a drink before continuing to sign autographs and making his way towards the exit.
A woman sits on a mans knees singing, she is presented with a bouquet and she holds it proudly. Brian Close with his arms crossed shakes hands with two men at the same time. A small group sit around a couple of tables drinking and chatting alongside Brian and other members of the cricket team, Beside the bar two men and five women sit chatting and drinking.
The remainder of the film features men and woman drinking and chatting happily. Brian Trueman and the female performer seen previously sit amongst them,
