Title: 1965 [on New Years Eve greetings card] Title: This Was You’re Night Bill and Hilda Title: Were We With It A group of women are dancing at a house party. In the background there's a well-stocked drinks cabinet. One or two men join in the fun. Two men take a sip of sherry. Title: Go To It Jimmy An older man in a pin striped suit joins in with the lively dancing, with some encouragement from the women. Title: Cabaret By Madame Zena Party goers have a go at at the classic egg drop trick. A glass tumbler filled with water sits on a plastic tray on a chair. Covering the glass is a tin lid from a biscuit or cake tin. On the tin lid and directly above the glass of water a woman places a short cardboard or plastic tube and on top of that she places an egg. She then takes a long knife and strikes the tin lid on its leading edge with the back edge of the knife. The egg topples off the tube towards her misses the tin lid underneath and falls into the glass unharmed. A man nearby applauds enthusiastically. From the opposite side of the chair the woman sets up the trick once again, and again the egg falls into the glass. The trick is set up once more and another woman attempts to do it with some guidance from the woman who set it up. The woman hits the tin lid and the egg drops into the glass, with cheers and applause from the party goers. Another woman comes forward to attempt the party piece, and the egg falls into the glass with more cheering and applause. Dancing resumes at the party with close ups of the faces of some of the dancers. One couple tries more conventional ballroom style dancing, then it’s back to disco dancing.
