This is an amatuer home movie produced by Donald Oates featuring his sons Christopher and Alistair playing with their new toys at Christmas and a family gathering. Later, outside the family home at Whitley Bay, the two boys play in the snow.
The film opens on Brighton Grove in Whitley Bay with the houses covered in snow.
In the front room of one of the houses, winter sun streams in as the two boys Christopher and Alistair stand next to a Christmas tree in the bay window. The film cuts to the same view but the boys now have toy weapons in their hands. One brandishes a toy gun, the other has something that resembles a bicycle pump, out of which pops a stopper.
Three boys congregate around a slot car racing set on the floor of another room. One of them operates a controller as they send model cars around the simple oval circuit.
Adults gather to drink tea and chat in the same room. Two boys in another room sit and play guitars for the camera. Another boy sits on the floor with a tambourine.
The film ends with the two boys playing with their sleds in the snow-covered streets.
