This amateur home movie produced by Donald Oates shows a children's party for each of his sons at the family home in Whitley Bay.  Title: Christopher and Alistair 1964 A group of boys and girls sit on the floor in the bay window of the living room. A woman plays a piano. The young children are playing a game of ‘pass the parcel’. All the young guests gather round a table for a party lunch which has cakes and sandwiches and a host of other things to eat. Soft drink is poured into tea cups. A woman lights the candles on a cake for the birthday boy Alistair to blow out. Everyone gathers round as he blows out the candles, and everyone claps hands. The older son places a notepad on a fireside surround to write on. The younger boy attempts to play the piano. A party for the older boy, Christopher, takes place. His mother lights the candles on a cake, and the birthday boy blows them out and makes a wish. Everyone applauds. Title: The End
