Television cameras as well as large crowds gather to watch a large flotilla of Royal Navy ships and submarines sail past as well as the Royal Yacht Britannia.

Four Royal Navy ships and two submarines are escorted into the harbour by tugboat. A number of smaller pleasure boats and yachts accompany the flotilla, many more ships are moored around the harbour.
Those on the riverside use binoculars to watch the procession as an Avro Vulcan bomber flies overhead followed by a helicopter and then a man getting into a car.
