From a moving train a white house in the distance followed by the train arriving at Eskdale Green railway station where a girl standing in front of the camera. The journey continues passing under a bridge and through a rural landscape, children onboard looking tired as adults look on with interest.
The train comes to a stop as another locomotive passes in the opposite direct. Attached to the front of the engine two small Union Jacks and a small plaque reading ‘Ratty 100 Today’. The film ends with the train being turned on a turntable.
