Waves crash on rocks and sea anemones sway in the sea water. A woman dives into the sea and begins to swim while a young girl in a bikini sits nearby looking out onto the water. A woman also in a bikini lays on the rocks sunbathing, a man lays nearby also soaking up the sun.
A bus drives along a road, in front a boy sits on a chair which is being transported on the back of a flatbed lorry. Inside the bus a sign above the drive reads ‘In God we Trust’.
A horse and decorated carriage travel along a narrow road, a feather has been attached to the animal’s head. They continue along a coastal road where a lighthouse can be seen on pier in the distance.
Beside a road two miniature horses are attached to trap carriages, other horse’s are raced along the road with the rider seated on the traps watched by crowds of locals. One of the miniature horses rides past.
Waves crash along a rocky coastline changes to shows the same cliffs but from a small boat on the water. From the cliffs above the boats travels along the coastline into the Santa Maria Cave along with a number of other small rowing and motorboats.
Goats and sheep are herded along a narrow street. A man walks along a road passing a number of cacti growing nearby.
A number of large signs for the ‘Santa Maria Project’ are erected beside a coastal road, behind them buildings form a small settlement. An irrigation field and a wind pump in the distant is followed by a church on a hill with a statue of Jesus Christ nearby.
In the distance St Paul’s Cathedral in Mdina. Closer views of the church exterior as well as the surrounding narrow streets including St Agatha’s Esplanade and Macazines Street. Writing on a wall written in paint reads ‘No Parking’. A number of colourful religious statues adore the cathedral exterior, a woman leads a horse and trap along a road.
A sign above the entrance of a shop reads ‘Economical Store’ followed by a man standing in the doorway of another business. Crowds wonder around a market with stall set up along the street. Traffic moves along a busy boulevard while nearby a man has his shoes polished in the street.
A number of signs advertise cafés and cantina’s as buses drive past. A number of small colourful fishing boats are moored in small marina. A group of men work together to launch ones of these boats into the water.
Tourists look out on the surrounding coastline from a boat travelling through the water. The boat docks and a tour group are spoken to by a travel guide from a cliff top promontory. Views of an ancient stone village changes to a woman making traditional Maltese lace. Inside a large stone building traditional stonemasons are at work, a bucket is lifted onto a raised platform near the roof using a pully system. Stonemasons chop at blocks of stone using an axe and other traditional instruments. The film ends back on the bus and the embroidered message seen earlier reading ‘In God we Trust’.
