An amateur film by Elizabeth, Lady Knott showing her in and around Samares Manor in Jersey. There are views of the gardens filmed in winter accompanied by her dog and with a male companion riding the fields or jumping fences near to the manor. The film opens on views of the Japanese garden at Samares Manor in winter showing a pagoda and a footbridge crossing water. A grassed pathway near to a summerhouse is followed by a dog running happily around the lawn near to the manor house.
A bevy of doves flies past in front of Samares Manor and the dog looks down at the fish in a pond. The water is partly frozen. The film cuts to two small boys coming along the manor driveway on scooters followed by a man waving from an upstairs window of the manor house.
The film cuts to show a man on horseback trotting along the side of a field. Elizabeth joins him and they both trot past before coming cutting to them coming along the manor driveway.
The dog looks down on the fish in the pond again, in the background a number of greenhouses and bare fruit bushes.

Outside Samares Manor is parked a Rolls Royce. The door of the manor opens and Elizabeth comes out with her dog. Standing beside the car is chauffeur Richard Ashton who opens the driver door of the Rolls Royce as Elizabeth and the dog get in. From a car driving in front of the Rolls Royce Elizabeth drives along the driveway and turning right into La Grande Route de Saint-Clement passing a man on a bicycle.
The film cuts to show the Rolls Royce turning back into the driveway of Samares Manor and from a car in front again driving back to the manor house. At the front door a postman delivers mail to a man standing in the doorway, his bicycle resting nearby. Richard again opens the door of the Rolls Royce and Elizabeth followed by her dog get out and walk back along the path into Samares Manor. The film cuts to show Elizabeth coming back out of the house and walking across the lawn in front of the building. A man stands in the doorway looking at the camera.
The film cuts to show Elizabeth playing with a parrot perched on a stand. General view of Samares Manor is followed by a view of a door out of which Elizabeth comes. The film cuts to Elizabeth walking out of the stable leading a saddled horse. Using a set of steps, she mounts the animal and rides out of the stable besides a man on a second horse who is holding the lead of her dog.
In a field near to Samares Manor the man jumps a number of fences that have been set up for show jumping. Elizabeth follows next jumping a number of lower fences. The film cuts to show the man helping Elizabeth get back on her horse and they ride around a field. Back in the stable yard Elizabeth feeds both horses from a basket she is holding, the man in the background is holding both reins.

Tied to a number of dog kennels are a number of small terrier dogs. A man in a white coat appears and collects all the dogs and walks with them across the stable courtyards, the dogs pulling him on their leads. In a field the terriers race around chancing each other. The man attracts them with food, standing beside him is Elizabeth. Back in the field the terriers chase Elizabeth’s dog.
The film ends back in the stable yard and the man in the white coat holding the leads of three terriers.
