Title: Xmas 74
A close up of Christmas crackers and the wrapped presents changes to show the family, young and old, dancing together in the living room. Smiling happily they do the conga-line through the house some carrying balloons in their hands. A young man in red shirt and tie dances with an older woman holding a cigarette.
On the living room floor a number of young children play with their presents; a girl looks at the cover of an LP while a boy has an Action Man and toy Scorpion Tank. An older man unwraps and puts on a dressing gown watched by family sitting on the sofa. A woman on the sofa unwraps her present to reveal a portrait of a small child; a girl sitting next to her plays a guitar. General views follow of the small children opening and playing with their presents; one boy is wearing a cowboy hat, another appears to be wearing an army uniform. One of the children shows his new watch to a woman. The boy in the cowboy hat plays the guitar and moves his legs like Elvis, a small girl holds a number of tubes of sweets in her hand.
The film cuts to show the dining room table laid out with plates of turkey and stuffing, a bottle of Calsberg ‘Special Brew’ stands next to one of the plates. The family sit at the table while vegetables are dished out for a young boy wearing a blue paper-hat. The family pull their crackers together and then eat their dinner; two men eat turkey legs with their fingers. General views follow of the family eating their meal. The film ends with the family asleep of the living room sofa.
