Jessie sits across from a man in mayoral chains and she and the other patrons listen to a number of singers performing on a nearby stage. Title: Garden House Films are Proud to Present Miss Jessie Barbar on her 101st birthday Dec 4 1979. Director Alan Quinn. The film opens on a semi-detached house on Noel Avenue in Winlaton Mill. A sign on the garden gate reads ‘Braeside’ are followed by views of the front garden. Inside Huntley Well Social Club Jessie Barbar sits at a table smiling, she turns and talks to a young girl sitting next to her. Sitting across from her a man wearing mayoral chains and a woman sitting next to him. They both smile and chat with Jessie. Around a number of tables patrons chat and drink, a man smokes a pipe. On a low stage a man speaks or sings into a microphone, Jessie smiles as she listens. A second man with a moustache sings into the microphone from the stage. His song comes to an end and the audience applaud. A birthday cake is placed on the table in front of Jessie as the man in mayoral chains gets up and speaks with the singer. Back on the stage two women perform a duet followed by a woman who sings into the microphone at her table. The film ends on views of people around the club sitting drinking and laughing and chatting happily. Title: The end
