Title: Happy Birthday Jessie
Inside Huntley Well Social Club patrons stand and raise their glasses to Miss Barbar who sits at a table near to the bar. A number of men sit around Jessie as another stands beside her table reading to her, possibly from a number of birthday cards.
Laid out on the table is a number of birthdays, gifts and a bouquet of yellow flowers. People come over and speak with Jessie wishing her a happy birthday. The headline of a newspaper article reads ‘No Gadgets for Jessie’, the article is passed around the table for people to read as more friends and acquaintances come over to speak with her.
As the camera moves around the club room a number of couples sit together at table drinking and chatting happily. More people come over and speak with Jessie, some sing ‘Happy Birthday’.
At the bar Jessie speaks with the couple working behind it, and to people sitting at tables drinking and chatting. The film ends with a group of men at the bar with the beer and chatting.
