Outside a man claps a clapperboard and Bill Anderson, Chairman of the Darlington Cine Club, begins to speak about the cine club encouraging those watching to come join them.
Along a corridor inside Polam Hall School, the home of the Darlington Cine Club, two of its members stand chatting. Various others arrive and are greeted before walking into a nearby room.

Inside the club room and again against the curtains seen previously a second man talks about the how to do animation. A short animation follows using two china horses and a reel of cinefilm.
Two men walk into a Dixons electrical store, inside the two men look at a catalogue laid out on a counter. Around the store cabinets full of photographic and cinematic equipment available at a discount for club members. The two men look over the equipment as well as a number of tripods on display. A member of staffs shows them one of the cine-camera available to purchase, they look over it with interest. A third man purchase a reel if cinefilm.
Back at the club room a man in a bowtie stands conducts an auction. The winner takes his purchase back to his seat where fellow members look over it. The auction continues.
Title: “The Pipes” Xmas Party
At the party venue a man holding microphone speaks to those sitting around him, many are wearing paper hats. Bottles of wine are placed on the table as the man interviews the clubs Chairman Bill Anderson and his wife about the party. He goes around the other tables speaking with members about the party, many start laughing. The film ends with everyone singing Auld Lang Syne.
